There are many identities between countries, for example
different festivals. The mid-autumn festival is very popular in China. People
would have some special moon cakes in the moon festival. I used to listen some
interesting stories about Chang E who is the moon goddess living in the moon
with the moon rabbit. I’m so curious about her looks, for many mystical legends
about her. I had a mid-autumn festival in the US last year, and it was pretty
interesting. People were eating moon cakes, even Americans. Nowadays, a lot of
Chinese are celebrate for Christmas also. They are buying some Christmas trees
for decoration, and putting some colorful lights around the house. The culture
exchanges all the time. I have some special emotions about that seeing some
Chinese traditional festivals celebrate in the US. It’s happens to many
countries. As what I learned in the pop-culture class, It’s like a melting pot and a salad bowl.
